WRFC Annual Golf Classic

WRFC Annual Golf Classic will be held in Wicklow Golf Club on Friday, 25th August, 2017.
This is one of the club’s major fundraising events and your support is greatly appreciated.

WRFC Summer Camp 2017

The famous WRFC Summer Camp takes place from Tuesday Aug 8th to Saturday Aug 12th (10am -2pm). For boys and girls from age 3 - 15. Bookings are now being taken online. Cost of Camp €70 for one child. Reduces to €60 for siblings etc.

Always a brilliant week with fun and games and a few surprise guests thrown in. Last year we had over 200 boys and girls taking part and they were thrilled to meet Leinster and Ireland stars former WRFC player Josh Van der Flier, Fergus McFadden and regular visitor Sean O'Brien. This year looks like being the biggest and the best ever. Dont miss out!

A large crowd of fifty people attended the WRFC AGM tonight at Ashtown Lane on Thursday night.

Bert Nicholson was elected as President for forthcoming season. He spoke with real emotion of his pride to become President of the club that means so much to him and his family.

John Jenkinson was elected as WRFC Club Captain for the coming season. The big second row expressed his pride in being given the honour of captaining the club he has played for since he was a young boy.

Meagan Parkinson was elected as captain of the senior women's team for the coming season. A fantastic turn out from the women's section were delighted to be present at the first AGM at which a senior women's captain was elected.

  • Wicklow Rugby Club is seeking applications for the position of player coach for the 2017/2018 season.
  • Based in Ashtown Lane in Wicklow town, Wicklow RFC currently field two adult men’s sides. The first team have just won promotion to  Leinster League Division 1A . They have just come through the most successful two years in the clubs history.
  • 2015/16 South East League Champions (1st team)
  • 2015/16 South East League Champions (2nd team)
  • 2015/16 Leinster Division 1B League Champions (2nd team)
  • 2015/16 Leinster Provincial Towns Cup Champions (1st team)
  • 2016/17 Leinster Division 1B League Champions (1st team)
  • 2016/17 South East League Final – To be played
  • Wicklow have an ambitious and talented young group of players who are keen to push on and establish the club in  Division 1A and as one of the top junior clubs in Leinster. Division 1A games are played on Saturday afternoons with training on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • There is a comprehensive support structure surrounding the senior men’s teams with a senior rugby co-ordinator, team manager, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coach etc. Wicklow have some of the finest playing facilities in Leinster and a fully equipped gym.
  • Wicklow RFC is a strong, well-run, community-based, family-oriented club with a hugely successful youths and mini section as well as one of Leinster strongest women’s and girls’ sections.
  • The successful candidate will ideally be a player coach who has played at AIL level or higher.  IRFU accredited coaching qualifications, while desirable, are not essential and the club will provide a coaching pathway, giving further coaching opportunities as the club expands and your career develops.
