Provincial Towns Cup 2nd Round

Wicklow face one of Leinsters Best Teams Next Sunday.

Wicklows 1st XV are preparing for the visit of Leinster Div 1A side Newbridge in the second round of the Provincial towns cup on Sunday February 17th.

Wicklow 2nds XV 18 Enniscorthy 2nds XV 22

Wicklows seconds bowed out of the towns cup against a strong Enniscorthy side at Ashtown Lane on Sunday afternoon. Wicklow  have performed  well in the Leinster League to date with only three losses from twelve games. Despite the fact that they were playing against a team from a division above them, they were confident that they could get the win. The game was played on a mostly dry day with a strong wind that favoured the Wexfordmen in the first half.

Skerries RFC 8 Wicklow RFC 1st XV 39

Wicklow 1st XV  travelled to Skerries RFC on Sunday for the opening round of the Provincial Towns Cup. Wicklow were on a disappointing run of three defeats and were desperate to get their season back on track. Wicklow were boosted by the return of player coach Niall Smullen.   Timmy Donovan,Fran Cooney, Brian Quinn and Ronan Hurley were also back in the side after injuries.

Fundraiser for WRFC U12's

The U12's are running a fundraiser for the Club on Saturday 26th January.

 

   

Wicklow 2nds 15 Clondalkin 2nds 15

Wicklows seconds took on a tough Clondalkin side on Sunday in a veritable game of two halves. Clondalkin were lying second in the league and were keen to do the double over a Wicklow side they had dispatched comfortably in the away fixture earlier in the season.
