Wicklow U15’s vs Navan

Wicklow  welcomed Navan U15’s to Ashtown on Saturday in the latest round of Leinster league matches.

The first half proved to be a very tight affair with Navan taking the lead three times through a combination of loose Wicklow defence and well structured play, they were however pegged back each time by determined attacking play by Wicklow which saw a halftime score of 17 points each. Wicklow responded to some pointed comments by the coaches and resolved the problems of the first half with a display of very controlled team rugby that saw them score 31 points without reply and earn themselves a very good victory over a well drilled and organised Navan team.

Tries were score by -; Alfie Heather x 2, Patrick Nixon x2, Cillian Ballesty, Luke Boyce, Cal Connolly, and Wojtek Sowinski. Conversions by Luke Corcoran x  3
